PULSE Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy explains what the Pulse app ("Pulse", "we") collects, why, and what you can do about it. Contact: slugics@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account: when you sign in with Apple we receive an account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email (Apple may give us a private relay address).
- What you log: meals, workouts, water, weight, sleep, mood, journal notes and photos, your profile (age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal) and your chats with the Coach. This is stored on your device. When you're signed in, it is also backed up to our cloud database so you don't lose it.
- Apple Health (optional): if you allow it, Pulse reads steps, workouts, active energy, sleep and weight. Pulse never writes to Apple Health. Health data is used only to log your activity, and it is never used for advertising or shared with data brokers.
- AI credits and purchases: your credit balance, credit usage per feature, and purchase records (product, date, transaction ID) from Apple via RevenueCat. We never see your payment card.
- AI usage metrics: for each AI request, the feature used and the number of AI tokens it consumed, so we can price credits fairly.
How we use it
- To run the app: log your entries, calculate calories and macros, show progress, quests and ranks.
- To answer you with AI: when you message the Coach or ask for plans, recaps or insights, the relevant text, photos or voice notes, your profile and recent logs are sent through our server to Google's Gemini API to generate the answer.
- To process purchases and grant credits.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
Who processes your data
- Supabase (database, sign-in and server functions, hosted in Canada).
- Google Gemini API (AI responses). Requests go through our paid API account; Google does not use them to train its models under those terms.
- RevenueCat and Apple (in-app purchases and subscriptions).
- Open Food Facts (product lookups when you scan a barcode; only the barcode number is sent).
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Crew → Account → Delete account), which deletes your account, credits, purchase records we hold and cloud backup. Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the app. Purchase records Apple keeps are governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data in the app, or email us to request a copy or deletion. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have additional rights, which we will honor.
Children
Pulse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access restricted to your own account.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
